Armored Truck Involved in Crash Tuesday Afternoon

An armored truck was involved in a crash in Kline Township Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, around 2:40pm, Tuesday, an armored truck, driven by Dorothy Henry, 28, of Wilkes Barre, was taking the exit ramp from Interstate 81 Northbound to Route 309 Northbound.

Henry was negotiating a tight, snow covered, right curve, but police say she was driving too fast for conditions.

The armored truck slid off the lane and struck a concrete jersey barrier lining the left shoulder.

The truck then bounced off, re-entered the ramp lane for a short distance, then slid left into the barrier again - coming to rest there.

Henry and her passenger had been securely seatbelted and were uninjured.

The armored truck needed to be towed from the scene.
