Pottsville Man Turns Himself In for Thanksgiving Day Shooting

A suspect in a Thanksgiving Day shooting has turned himself in.

Kulpmont police were seeking the whereabouts of Dashawn Andrew Coward, 19, of Pottsville for a shooting that occurred in Kulpmont, Northumberland County on Thanksgiving Day.

On Monday, Coward turned himself in to Kulpmont Police and was taken into custody.

Coward is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, possessing a firearm while being a felon, recklessly endangering other people and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as a misdemeanor of disorderly conduct.

Coward was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Cashman and is locked up in Northumberland County Prison unable to post $300,000 straight cash bail.
