Howard "Bud" Hall, 59, of W. Centre St. Ashland, PA., passed away at , Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Roxborough,PA September 2,1958 the son of the late Howard and Dorothy
(Hannay) Hall. He graduated from Elizabethtown High School and the Patton Masonic School. He was a member of Christ's United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland and worked as an EMT.

Surviving are his son David Hall of Ashland, PA and sister Bonnie Kashella of Dillsburg, PA.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc. Ashland. Charles Heizenroth III, Supervisor.

Jessica A. Blase, 49, of Girardville, died on November 4, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Freehold, NJ, August 10, 1968 to Joseph and Ann Marie (Kirk) Pukiewicz. She was raised by George and Dorothy Colosimo and family.
Jess attended Shenandoah and North Schuylkill High Schools. She was formerly employed at Lowe's and A&E Hanger.

She was formerly married to John Gedney and John Blase.

She loved to watch movies and go the park with daugher, Lexie. She
also liked to help people. She loved her daughter dearly.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Alexis Blase, friends Suzanne (Hollenbach) Clews and Joanne Vaughn, distant relatives and friends. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, Dec.4 at 7:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc.,Ashalnd. Visitation Monday 5:30-7:00 P.M. from the Funeral Home. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc., Charles Heizenroth III, Supervisor.

Joseph “Sonny” Marcovitch, Jr., 79, of Pottsville, died Thursday at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Forestville, February 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia Marcovitch.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Robert Marcovitch.

He was a graduate of the former Cass Township High School Class of 1955.

Sonny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bertha (Shields) Marcovitch, Pottsville; a daughter Sherry Benning wife of David, St. Clair; grandsons Jozef Widuch husband of Agata, Phoenixville, PA; Samuel Benning and his partner Elizabeth, Topton PA; and great grandsons Parker and Cooper. He is also survived by dear friends Raymond Houtz and Susie Karpulk, Forestville; cousins Rayne and Stacie Slackus; and his faithful friend and protector Pepper Peters.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday evening from 6PM to 7PM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home. Additional calling hours will be held 11AM to Noon at the Chapel on the grounds of the George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting PA with entombment following.

The family would prefer donations be made in Sonny’s memory to either The St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Hillside SPCA 51 SPCA Road Pottsville PA 17901.

Elizabeth M. "Liz" Belfiore, age 85, of Mahanoy City, passed away Thursday morning at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of the late Agabito and Barbara (Cappelli) Barone. She was a 1949 graduated of Mahanoy City High School and had been employed with the former Morgan Knitting Mills. She was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church and it Sodality Society in Mahanoy City, Mahanoy City Woman's Club and BPOE 695 Ladies Auxiliary. Liz was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Preceding her in death were her husband John S. Belfiore Sr. in 1986, 2 brothers Frank Barone killed in action in Normandy during World War II and Joseph Barone.

Surviving are a daughter Bernadine Sabol and her husband Dennis of Barnesville, 2 sons John S. Belfiore Jr. and his companion Marie Lesusky of Mahanoy City, Arthur Belfiore and his wife Pauline of Lewistown, a brother Dr. Gennaro Acanfora and his wife Nancy of North Carolina, a sister Felicia Pilla of Nesquehoning three grandchildren Sonya Johnson and her companion Randy Ward, Angela and her husband Alex Lagreca and Amanda Belfiore, 3 great grandchildren Paige and Tiberius Johnson and John Robert Lagreca, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher at 10 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM and again on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 AM.

Diane M. Brobst, 51, of Weston, passed away Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Diane was born in Boyertown, PA on October 4, 1966, a daughter of Dolores (Hilbert) Schlauch , of Zion Grove and Donald Schlauch, and his wife Loretta of Mt. Grove. She attended the former Rock Glen High School, and was currently working, detailing cars for Smalltown Auto Sales in Hazleton.

Diane loved music and singing karaoke, doing crafts and riding ATV's.

In addiiton to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Steven Brobst and by her son, Corey Brobst, of Weston, along with his daughters, Diane's granddaughters, Kailey and Alayna; a step daughter, Heather, wife of George Paton, of Summitt Hill; and a step son, Jason, and his wife Jessica Brobst, of Blandon.

Diane is also survived by a sister, Linda Schlauch, of Weston along with four brothers, Donald Schlauch, of Arizona; William Schlauch, of Zion Grove; John Schlauch, of Weston; David Schaluch, of Fern Glen and by a half sister, Wanita Kantner, of Mt. Grove.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Diane's family from 6-8 PM on Wednesday evening at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.

Private funeral and burial services will take place at a later date.
