In a release from the district, Head Coach Jeff Sampson submitted his letter of resignation on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Sampson has been head football coach for 12 years.
During his time as coach, Sampson compiled a record of 61-68 and led the Cardinals to an Eastern Conference Championship in 2010 as well as a Twin Valley Championship in 2013.
Pine Grove School District reports that they will begin searching for a new football coach immediately.
