Shenandoah Fire Ruled Accidental

A fire in Shenandoah Wednesday evening has been ruled accidental.


Around 5:00pm, Wednesday, fire crews from Shenandoah and surrounding communities responded to 27 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah for a working structure fire.

When crews arrived it was upgraded to a 2nd alarm calling in additional manpower to fight the fire.

The fire was reported to have displaced two.

A state police fire marshal from Troop L was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.

The origin of the fire was found to be located in the kitchen in the rear of home and found to be started by "unattended cooking".  The cause was ruled accidental.
