Money Raised for Will's Warriors by Girardville Basketball Association

Proceeds from Thursday night's opening ceremonies went to Will's Warriors.

Postponed from the original date, January 8th, the opening ceremonies for the Girardville Basketball Association were held Thursday evening.

All proceeds from the door collections went Will's Warriors for the Central PA WALK that is held each year in September for the Hydrocephalus Association (HA).

Hydrocephalus is a condition in which fluid accumulates in the brain, typically in young children, enlarging the head and sometimes causing brain damage. (WIKIPEDIA)

HA’s mission is to promote a cure for hydrocephalus and improve the lives of those affected by the condition.

The GBA presented Will Rader and his family with a banner. Will's father, Michael Rader, is a coach and his two older brothers, Casey and Michael, play in the league.

Also honored at the event were Patti Centiole and Centiole's Pizza for all of her donations to the league.

Gabrielle Dinger also sang the national anthem for the event.
