Victim Flown After Crash in Fountain Springs Sunday Morning

The victim in a crash Sunday morning was flown due to their injuries.


Just before 10:00am, Sunday, emergency personnel were called to 605 Fountain Street (Route 61), Fountain Springs, Butler Township, for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

When crews arrived they found an SUV on it's side with a victim unconscious in the vehicle out of sight from Route 61.

Neighbors in the area reported to have heard what sounded like a crash around 4:00am Sunday but when they inspected the area, nothing was found.

The victim was extricated by Butler Township and Englewood Fire Companies and taken to a landing zone where patient was flown to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Butler Township Police are still investigating the crash.

Route 61 was closed for a short period while units were at the scene.

Responding units to the scene were Butler Township Departments, Englwood Fire, Ashland Washington Rescue, Ashland Ambulance, and Butler Township and Ashland Police.
