According to Pottsville Police, the incident occurred around 2:00pm, when a male juvenile was attempting to cross 16th street, in Pottsville and was struck by a dark colored SUV with tinted windows. The SUV may have damage to the passenger side mirror.
The juvenile told police that the driver slowed the SUV after making contact but then continued south on 16th and left the scene.
Pottsville EMS responded and transported the juvenile to a local medical facility for treatment.
