Mahanoy City Police Arrest Two in Separate Incidents

Mahanoy City Police made two arrests late Sunday and early Monday in separate incidents.

According to Police Chief Kenneth Zipovsky, on Sunday evening, around 9:00pm, police observed a wanted fugitive, identified as Vincent Bloss, 23 of Gilberton, who had an active Schuylkill County Bench Warrant.

A traffic stop was conducted, where Bloss was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and also under the influence of Heroin.

 Bloss was transported for a chemical blood draw and then committed to Schuylkill County Prison on the bench warrant.

Bloss faces additional charges from the incident, to be filed by Patrolman Thomas Rentschler.

In separate incident, on Monday morning, around 12:15am, police conducted a traffic Stop in the 800 block of E. Mahanoy Ave.

Rhett Baker, 21 of Barnesville, was charged with possession of marijuana & drug paraphernalia, and several traffic violations.

Charges were completed by Patrolman Thomas Rentschler.
