Police Activity at Martz Hall Tuesday Evening

A police response was seen at Martz Hall Tuesday evening.

After the Marian Catholic/Panther Valley game, a police response by numerous police units including State Police, City Police, and other local units were seen around 9:00pm responding to Martz Hall.

Official information has not been made available as of 11:00pm.

UPDATE:  Reports from people that were at the game, multiple fights broke out between students. 

UPDATE 2: 
According to Pottsville Police, on Tuesday evening, around 9:00pm, the Pottsville Police and surrounding police agencies were dispatched to Martz Hall, to investigate a reported fight in the stands involving several spectators at the Panther Valley/Marian boys playoff basketball game. 

When police arrived, security had already separated those involved.  Police remained on-scene to assist the clearing of Martz Hall after the game and to identify those involved in the physical altercation.

Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky stated "The investigation is continuing and appropriate charges will be filed after all available evidence is collected and reviewed.
