UPDATED: Winter Storm Warning Issued for Schuylkill County

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Tuesday and Wednesday.

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy, wet snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, with localized higher amounts up to 1 foot.

* WHERE...Portions of south-central Pennsylvania, mainly along and south of Route 22 and I-81. Lowest snowfall amounts north of Route 22.

* WHEN...Heaviest snow with rates over 1 inch per hour at times this afternoon and evening, and again Wednesday morning and afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery roads and difficult travel conditions, including the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. The heavy wet snow could bring down tree limbs, causing power outages.
