Woman Found Dead After Reported Altercation in Luzerne County; Two in Custody

A woman is dead after a reported altercation in Weston, Black Creek Township, Luzerne County, Friday Morning.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton, Aroun 6:50am, troopers from the Hazleton Barracks were dispatched to a residence along Market Street in Weston, Black Creek Township, Luzerne County for a reported altercation between family members that resulted in a stabbing.  Black Creek Township is on the Schuylkill/Luzerne County line.

When troopers arrived, and entered the residence they found a 66 year old female, in the living room, deceased.

A 43 year old male and a 17 year old male were also on the property at the time and both were taken into custody and transported to the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks at Hazleton.

After arriving, it was found that both men were injured and needed to be transported to the hospital.

The Troop N Major Case Unit is investigating the incident.
