EVENT: Minersville Pig Roast


Today's Forecast 8/23/13

Did you notice the different in temperature and humidity when you opened your front door this morning?  The heavy rain overnight was a cold front coming through and it's going to feel much more comfortable again.

Today is starting out with some clouds left over from the rain but by the afternoon the sun will be shining and it's going to be a beautiful day.  High's in the mid 70's.

Tonight,  It's going to be partly cloudy and very comfortable,  highs in the upper 50's.  Great sleeping weather!

Saturday, Looking even better for the parade.  Mostly sunny day, low humidity, and high's in the mid 70's.

Sunday, it just keeps getting better.  There will be virtually no humidity, LOTS of sun, and high's around 80.

The weather for the first day of school for mostly everyone is looking great!  It's going to be sunny and pleasant with the temperature rising a bit more into the 80's but will feel comfortable.

Today's Weather Forecast 8/22/13

Today is going to be a Partly Sunny day with the chance for a thunderstorm in the afternoon.  High around 80 degrees, with slight humidity

Friday, our humidity and temperature will continue to drop, Friday is looking nice and partly sunny with highs in the upper 70's.

Saturday is looking beautiful for the Fireman's Convention.  Mostly sunny with very low humidity and high's in the mid 70's.

Sunday is looking like it's going to be a copy of Saturday with Sunny skies and a high in the mid 70's.

EVENT: Benefit for Lynn Logan Leedom

Benefit for Lynn Logan Leedom

WHEN:  September 15th, Doors open at 1PM

WHERE:  St. Michaels Church Hall, Minersville

Chinese Auction and Vendor Benefit.

All proceeds go to Lynn who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer to help defray costs of medical treatment.

"Fire Kessler" Billboard Put Up Along 924

Just when you thought the controversy was over and we've all moved on and forgotten about the issue of Chief Kessler using Gilberton borough's guns in a Youtube video, the billboard to the left appeared along Route 924 in Gilberton, heading towards Shenandoah.

The billboard was put up Tuesday and will be there for 30 days.

It was paid for by a Washington D.C. Organization called The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. (www.csgv.org)

Chief Kessler later posted the following picture on his Facebook page while standing in front of the billboard.

Today is starting out a lot less foggy then yesterday and the sun is already shining.  We are looking at a mostly sunny day ahead with a high around 85 degrees.  It's going to be a lot more humid today also

Tonight is looking just as humid which will lead to showers overnight.  Low in the mid 60's.

Tomorrow is going to be a Partly Sunny day with the chance for a thunderstorm in the afternoon.  High around 80 degrees, with slight humidity

Robbery Suspect Still On The Loose

The person that robbed a convenient store yesterday in St. Clair is still on the loose.
