Methamphetamine and THC Seized from Pottsville Home; Woman Wanted on Drug Charges


Pottsville police seized narcotics and took a man into custody last week in Pottsville.
According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky, on Friday, April 09, 2021 at 11:12pm,  Pottsville Police and Pennsylvania State Police went to 806 N. 16th St. attempting to serve a felony arrest warrant issued for James David Mickshaw, 47, of Pottsville. 

While serving the warrant, which was pursuant to charges for possession of a stolen firearm and possession with intent to deliver controlled substances filed by the Pa State Police, officers observed controlled substances and numerous items of drug paraphernalia in plain view. The residence was secured and a search warrant for the residence was obtained from Magisterial District Judge Reiley of Pottsville.

During the subsequent search, investigators seized 127 grams of methamphetamine with a potential street value of $12,000, 12 containers of brown wax substance that contained THC, multiple digital scales, packaging material and other drug paraphernalia, and $1,815.00 in cash.

A criminal complaint for Mickshaw was prepared charging him with 3 counts of possession with intent deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Judge Reiley arraigned Mickshaw on the new charges and locked him up in Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 cash bail. 

Additionally, Pottsville Police filed a criminal complaint charging Jaclyn Marie Hollywood, 38, of Pottsville with Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of small amount of marijuana and prohibited possession of an electronic or electric incapacitation device.
