Orwigsburg Man Faces Charges for Threatening to Kill His Wife

An Orwigsburg man is facing charges after making threats towards his wife.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the charges stem from an incident on Village Road in West Brunswick Township on July 8th, 2022 around 3:30pm.

Troopers say they were called to a home for a report of terroristic threats.

At the scene, an investigation found that Corey Leiby, 52, of Orwigsburg had allegedly threatened to kill his wife.

Leiby was charged with Terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment, arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000 straight cash bail.

Leiby posted bail through a bondsman on July 9th, 2022, was released, and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Thomas H. Xavios on July 19th, 2022
