The Schuylkill County Coroner has been called to a crash on Route 61 near Deer Lake on Sunday afternoon.
Around 4pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Route 61 and Route 895 in Deer Lake for a motor vehicle accident involving high mechanism.
According to emergency radio traffic, the crash involved a vehicle striking another vehicle that was parked along the roadway. A person was reported to be working on the vehicle when it was struck.
A short time later, the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was called to the scene.
Northbound traffic was being shutdown at the intersection of Route 61 and Route 895/Summer Valley Road.
