Nichole Myers
, 54, a lifelong resident of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 3, 2025, after a courageous fight against cancer. She was surrounded by the loving care of her parents, Gary S. and Lynn L. (Pavlick) Myers.

Born in Hazleton on Tuesday, December 1, 1970, Nichole was a beloved daughter who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including long walks throughout the town and quiet evenings spent with her family.

A graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Nichole dedicated many years to working at Weis Markets in Pottsville and later served others as a Nurses Aide. She was an active and faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Tamaqua.

Nichole was predeceased by her birth mother, Barbara A. (Gregitis) Myers. In addition to her devoted parents, she is survived by many cousins and a community that cherished her quiet strength and gentle spirit.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550

A Funeral service will be held on Friday November 7, 2025 at Noon from Trinity U.C.C. 22 Lafayette Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. Friends may call in church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services. Rev. Darryl Kennsinger to officiate.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania

Ervin "Jim" Cook
, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by family.

Jim was born in Pottsville on August 29, 1954 to the late Ervin and Virginia (Long) Cook.

Married 50 years, Jim was the husband of Helen (Eiler) Cook.

He attended Pottsville Area High School and eventually went on to work at Omnova Solutions, Auburn, PA for 45 years before retiring in 2021.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman. Throughout his life you could find him in the woods hunting, fishing, logging, camping, berry picking, or quietly enjoying nature. His love for the outdoors has been passed on to his daughter and grandsons.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his daughter, Helen Yourkawitch, son-in-law Michael, grandsons: Mitchell and Chase of Sinking Spring; siblings: Samuel Cook, Catherine Kadingo, Brenda Schneider, Dolores Cook, Nora Foose, Diane Barnyock, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Anne and Betsy Mae, and brothers, Richard and Donald.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Those wishing to honor Jim may do so by contributing to a charity of their choice in his memory.

Leonard A. Davis, Jr., 77, of Tower City, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Seton Manor Nursing Home, Orwigsburg.

Born on August 28, 1948 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Leonard Sr. and Margaret Schaeffer Davis.

Leonard had previously worked for Direnzo Coal Company in Llewelyn.

He was a social member of various Fire Companies.

Preceding him in death were a brother, Kenneth Davis and a sister, Carolyn Davis.

Surviving are three daughters, Kelly and husband Gary Reinoehl of Pine Grove, Toni Moyer of Lincoln, Laurie Davis of Pine Grove; a son, Leonard "Lenny" Davis of Muir; five grandchildren, Joshua, Sara, Zach, Chad and Samantha; five great grandchildren, Hannah, Heath, Bentley, Joshua Jr., "J.J.", and Marina; four sisters, Cheryl Ann Davis, Sandra Derr, Sharon Kimmel, and Sheila Reinhart; nieces and nephews.

There will be no services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 139 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory to help with expenses.
