Tamaqua Area High School Students Support 2025 Hunger Campaign

Tamaqua Area High School students are making a difference in their community by supporting the 2025 Tamaqua Area Hunger Campaign.
Led by members of the Schuylkill Youth Conference/Summit team, students recently organized a collection that brought in more than 500 cans and dry food items to benefit the campaign. The annual effort helps supply local food pantries that serve over 300 families in the Tamaqua area.

Student volunteers who helped lead the project include (L-R): Ana Ackerman, Madelyn Sweeney, Logan Morgans, Chase Serfass, Pierce Grim, Kelsey Lusch, and Brady McCabe.

The Tamaqua Area Hunger Campaign works throughout the fall to collect food and monetary donations, ensuring local families in need have access to meals during the holiday season and beyond. The involvement of Tamaqua’s students highlights the importance of youth engagement and community service in addressing hunger close to home.
