Born in Pottsville, on July 8, 1970, she was a daughter of Pamela (Madara) and the late Richard Azbell.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1988.
Crista attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She did arts and crafts in her spare time.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Azbell Jr. and father-in-laws, Cecil Thompson and Gary Riegel Sr.
Crista is survived by her husband, Gary L. Riegel, to whom she was married 39 years; two sons: Andrew Riegel, husband of Stacey; Taylor Riegel, husband of Taylor Madenford; mother, Pamela; two sisters, Amy Azbell and Jennifer Azbell; brother, Randy Azbell; grandchildren: Evan, Emma Lee, Ryan, Ella, and Owen Riegel and Aiden Hoppes; sister-in-law, Robyn Riegel; mother-in-law, Ruth Thompson; nieces: Rebecca, Chloe, Madison, and Miley; and nephews: Randy Jr., Kobey, and Mason.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
