OBITUARY: David A. Fink, of Andreas

David A. Fink
, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and papa, of Cold Spring Road, Andreas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp with his family by his side. David was 77 years of age.
Born Saturday, February 3, 1945 in Andreas, David was the son of the late Herman P. and Anna M. (Greenzweig) Fink. David was also predeceased by: brother, Richard J. Fink, and sister in-law Charlotte Bierman, and brother-in-laws Theodore Bierman and Clair Snyder.

Surviving are: his wife of 55 years, LaRue (Miller) Fink; daughters, Karen L. Billman wife of Joel, Kimberly A. Kistler wife of Tim; sons, Brian D. Fink, Barry A. Fink and his wife Robin, Benjamin J. Fink and his wife Sarah; grandchildren, Tiffany Bieber and her husband George, Beth Kistler and her boyfriend Chris, Keegan Fink, Addison and Emily Fink, Keith and Kaden Fink; great grandchildren, Caleb and Lilly Bieber; sister-in-laws, Teena Miller, Eldora Snyder, and LaRae Fink. David is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A 1963 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, David attended Lincoln Technical Institute earning his certification in Electronics Engineering. Upon graduation David began working for Palmerton Telephone Company, which started a career spanning 46 years. Eventually, David retired as the Central Office Superintendent. He also served on the Board of Directors as the VP of Research and Development for Palmerton Telephone Company, extending past his retirement.

A member of St. Peter's Church, West Penn, David served as Elder and Deacon, and held similar roles during time spent at Christ Evangelical Free Church of Lehighton. David had served as Treasurer of the Mahoning Fire Company for many years, being honored as Fireman of the Year. He was active in the Gideon's International, West Penn Little League, and the Boy's Brigade of Christ Evangelical Free Church. David's greatest attribute was his ability to fix appliances, tune small equipment, work on cars, and lend his talents to his children and friends as a gentleman carpenter. Time spent with LaRue and weekly Fink Family Dinners were what mattered to him most.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 21, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Church of West Penn, 184 St. Peter's Road, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. Rev. Virginia M. Heimer and Pastor Greg Laible will co-officiate.

Friends may call on Thursday evening October 20, 2022 at the church from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and on Friday morning from 10:00 am until 10:45 am.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Mantzville, Pennsylvania.
