OBITUARY: Fern A. Kerschner, 100, of Schuylkill Haven

Fern A. Kerschner, 100, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, at Geisinger St. Luke's, Orwigsburg.

Fern was born in Schuylkill Haven, on May 13, 1922, a daughter of the late Mabel (Eckler) and Roy Renninger.

She was a member of St. John's UCC, Schuylkill Haven. She last worked as a secretary at the former David Kahn Inc. (Wearever pen pencil factory), Deer Lake, retiring in 1984.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Kerschner, to whom she was married 66 years; also a brother, Kenneth Renninger.

Fern is survived by a son, Lee A., husband of Susan Kerschner, of Wernersville; also survived by grandson, Lee Kerschner Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Wernersville.

Gravesideside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Union Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Kevin Fructl officiating. Family and friends will gather at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, 25 East Main Street, Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 a.m. for a 10:45 a.m. departure for Union Cemetery.
