Born in Mary-D, PA on April 4, 1935, Jean was a daughter of the late John J. and Helen (Maurer) Stemmler. A 1953 graduate of Tamaqua High School, she was employed by a number of local garment factories as a machine operator. Jean was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Tamaqua. She enjoyed spending time with family especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jean is survived by sons, Daniel J. Baddick and his wife Susan of Tamaqua, Thomas J. Baddick of State College, PA, and David A. Baddick and his wife Sherry of New Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Eric Baddick, Maureen Creitz, David Baddick, and Jacob Baddick; great grandchildren, Devin Creitz, Gabrielle Creitz, Evan Baddick, Addison Baddick, Alexa Baddick, and Cami Baddick; brother, John Stemmler of Mary-D; sister, Mary Gall of West Penn, PA.
She was predeceased by a son, Theodore G. Baddick and sisters, Beatrice Kotchmar, Dorothy Nortavage, Esther Crone, Ruth Kabana, and Helen Schroeder.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy officiating.
Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the services. Call 9:30 – 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials in Jean’s name may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 150 Pine Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.
