Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Anna (Terleskes) Kryston.
She was a 1974 graduate of Minersville High School and 1981graduate of Kutztown University with her Masters in Education. She was a first-grade teacher for 34 years for the Blue Mountain School District.
An avid traveler, Julianne loved visiting the beach, taking trips skiing in Vermont, camping all over the east coast, and sailing on Chesapeake navigating the family's boat. You could always find her nose in a book, specifically the Harry Potter series, with a Yuengling Porter in hand. She also loved spending time with her daughter with the family's horses.
Julianne is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Harold Cooper; loving daughter, Kendall Cooper-Kunkel and her husband, Tyler; granddaughter, Karoline Kunkel, and brother, Walter Kryston.
She was predeceased by her sister, Antoinette (Toni) Murphy.
Julianne’s viewing will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Burkey& Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South Fourth Street, Hamburg, PA, with luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Julianne’s name to the “Schuylkill County Therapeutic Riding Program”.
