Born Tuesday, July 12, 1927 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late Donato, and Elizabeth (Real) Occhicupo. Louis was also predeceased by; his beloved wife, Jean M. (Rehrig) Cooper on July 21, 2000; sisters, Angeline Erbe, Mary Vanko.
Surviving are; son, Louis Daniel "Bud" Cooper, Jr. and his wife Mary of Tamaqua; daughter, Lou-Jean Cooper with whom he resided; sister, Anna Cope of Coaldale; grandchildren, Jared Cooper and his wife Cristina, Jessica Roddick; great grandchildren, Kinley Roddick, Andrea, and Brianna Cooper. Nieces and nephews also survive Louis.
Louis served honorably in the United States Army during WWII in the Second Infantry Division, and retired from Trojan Powder Company. Louis was a member of St. John's U.C.C. of Tamaqua. He was an avid hunter who looked forward to hunting with his son Bud, and grandson Jared during Deer season

A Funeral service will be held on Monday November 7, 2022 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate. Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.
Interment with Military Honors to be bestowed will take place in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
