Shenandoah Historical Society Looking for Help to Replace Windows
The Shenandoah Historical Society is looking to raise money in order to replace the "weather worn" windows at their history center located at 201 S. Main Street in the borough.
“Help us keep the memory of Shenandoah’s past alive by your generous support of our historical center,” said Andrea Pytak, president of the Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society
New windows, she said, will prevent drafts and “significantly lower” heating expenses for the society.
Pytak says thatd the estimate for replacement is $200 per window and the society is asking local residents interested in historical preservation to “purchase” a window “that will have with it a dedication plaque attached to honor a person or persons determined by the donor.”
For more information, call the society at 570-462-4643, go online to www.shenandoahpahistory.org, go to the society’s Facebook page.
