(01/08/16) - Around 10:45am, Friday morning, fire crews were call to 409 St. Francis Street, Minersville for a working structure fire.

Brush Fires Under Investigation
Just after 9:15am, fire crews were called to the area of the Blue Mountain Summit Restaurant along Route 309, West Penn Township for a reported brush fire.
Reports from passing motorists called stating that there were multiple brush fires along the berm of the road in the area.
West Penn, New Tripoli, and New Ringgold Fire Companies were called to the scene.
The Times News is now reporting that the fires are now under investigation.
