Man Facing Assault Charges
On Sunday, 12/04/16, just before 3:00am, the Schuylkill Haven State Police were dispatched to the report of a domestic dispute at 21 Second Mountain Road, Wayne Township.
Upon arrival at scene, it was determined that the female victim was assaulted by Casey J. Steffanic, 42.
The victim was able to flee the residence when Troopers arrived on scene but the defendant then locked the door and refused to open it to speak with the Troopers.
Steffanic eventually opened the door at which point he was taken into custody. The victim was treated at a local hospital for head injuries sustained during the dispute.
Criminal charges were prepared and the defendant was arraigned before the on-call district judge Christina Hale before being released on unsecured bail.
Steffanic was charged with Simple Assault, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct.
Police Investigating Theft in Berks County
The Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg are investigating a theft that occurred between 11/28/16 and 12/3/16.
According to Police, someone stole a Yellow Suzuki LTZ400 ATV from the rear of the Hill Crest Campground, On Old Route 22, in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., Berks County.

The Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg are investigating a theft that occurred between 11/28/16 and 12/3/16.
According to Police, someone stole a Yellow Suzuki LTZ400 ATV from the rear of the Hill Crest Campground, On Old Route 22, in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., Berks County.
