The crash occurred just after 8:00am in the 100 unit block of Nater Street, Butler Township near Ashland.
Butler Township Police at the scene said the driver said he was distracted and went off the roadway striking a utility pole, snapping it in half, and rolling the SUV onto it's side.
The driver walked away uninjured.
The crash scene was cleared in about an hour but Nater Street remained closed for most of the day while PPL installed a new utility pole.
Butler Township Police were assisted by the Lavelle Fire Department with traffic control.
