One Injured in Crash near Shenandoah Saturday Morning

One person was taken to the hospital after being injured in a two-vehicle crash near Shenandoah on Saturday morning.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 8:00am, Saturday, August 7th, 2020 at the intersection of Route 924 and Pennsylvania Avenue in West Mahanoy Township.

Police say Andrew Lencoski, 30, of Shenandoah was at the stop sign on coming from Pennsylvania Avenue when he pulled out from the intersection and attempted to turn north on Route 924.

While pulling out Lencoski pulled out into the path of Rubel Cruz, 23, of Shenandoah who was traveling south on Route 924.

Cruz struck the driver's side of Lencoski.

Both drivers were not injured in the crash but a passenger in the vehicle with Cruz, Damien Deihm, 19, of Ringtown suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by Shenandoah EMS.

A backseat passenger was not injured.

Police say road conditions at the time of the crash wet.

Steve's Towing assisted with towing both vehicles from the scene.

Both driver's will be cited for the crash.
