Arrest Warrant Issued for New Philadelphia Man After Assault

State Police have issued an arrest warrant for a New Philadelphia man after an assault.

According troopers from the Schuylkill Haven barracks, the assault occurred on Valley Street in New Philadelphia on September 4th, 2020, just before 9:00pm.

Police say the incident started as a verbal argument between Cody Adams, 30, of New Philadelphia and another male inside a home.

The argument turned physical when Adams attacked the victim and started punching him, causing him to fall to the floor.

Adams then allegedly struck the victim with a glass bowl while laying on his back causing severe laceration to his left elbow.

Adams then fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was transported to the hospital to be treated.

An arrest warrant was obtained through Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale for Adams arrest.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Adams is asked to call 911.
