Saint Clair Man Threatens Neighbor with Knife

A Saint Clair man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after he threatened his neighbor with a knife on Tuesday.

According to Saint Clair Police Chief William Dempsey, on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 around 1:20am, officers responded to a disturbance on South 2nd Street, Saint Clair.

Police spoke with a man who said Kevin Joseph Hoff, 35, of Saint Clair, arrived at his apartment door and produced a a large military style fixed blade knife and threatened him with it.  Hoff allegedly threatened the victim because he believed a leak inside his apartment originated from the victims.

Hoff was taken into custody and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer via video and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000 / 10% cash bail.

Hoff was charged with simple assault, possession the instrument of a crime, terroristic threats, and harassment.
