Around 9:45am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 914 Race Street, Pottsville for a house fire.
Early reports were a Chief arrived on scene to find heavy fire from the front of a home in the middle of a row. A second house was already involved and a third was being threatened.
Additional units from around Schuylkill County have been called to the city on 2nd alarm move up assignment to cover for the city.
The American Red Cross has requested been called for at least 2 victims.
UPDATE (10:29am) - The fire was marked under control.
