Pottsville Man in Custody After Stealing Vehicle in McAdoo

A Pottsville man is in custody for stealing a car in McAdoo last week.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, a vehicle was reported stolen on Friday, November 27th, 2020 around 5:00pm from Kennedy Drive in McAdoo.

Police said Tyvonne Conrad, 28, of Pottsville was the known suspect to have stolen the vehicle and fled towards Hazleton .

Conrad was later located later that day driving the stolen vehicle on Route 93 in Hazleton, where a traffic stop was conducted and taken into custody without incident.

Magisterial District Judge Bayer arraigned Conrad on charges of Theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Bayer locked Conrad up in Schuylkill County Prison after he was unable to post $10,000 straight cash bail.
