The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have announced that part Route 61 northbound is closed Monday afternoon.
According to the Frackville barracks, as of 3:00pm, Route 61 north, the Frackville/Saint Clair grade, between Darkwater Road in New Castle Township and Mall Road in Blythe and Ryan Township has been shutdown.
State Police say multiple tractor trailers are stuck on the roadway and it will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
UPDATE (4:15pm) - Route 61 is now open and all vehicles cleared
