Shenandoah Man Dies from Injuries Sustained in East Union Township Crash

A Shenandoah man died from his injuries sustained in a crash in East Union Township early Sunday morning.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 2:40am, on Main Boulevard/Route 924 in East Union Township.

Troopers say Emmanuel Polanco Diaz, 22, of Shenandoah was speeding while traveling south on a left curve and lost control.  

Planco Diaz's Honda Accord went off the west side of the roadway and struck a tree on the driver's side.

The victim was extricated my emergency personnel and transported by Shenandoah EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton where he later died.

Also responding to the scene were the Sheppton Oneida Fire Company and the West End Fire and Rescue from Mahanoy City.
