According to officials, the crash occurred around 12:30pm on Route 183 near the intersection with Fairview Drive in Bern Township.
The crash occurred when a vehicle crossed into the opposing lane and went head-on into a box truck. Two 17-year-olds in the vehicle, a female from Schuylkill County and a male from Lancaster County, were transported to Reading Hospital where they both died from their injuries.
The identity of the teens has not been made available as of this posting.
The driver of the box truck was not injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
