According to Police, on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, around 1:45am, officers were dispatched to the area of the 1100 block of West Mahantongo Street for a possible motor vehicle accident.
Officers arrived on scene and found a Black Jeep Compass lying on its left side unattended.
A witness informed me that the driver of the vehicle was walking East on Mahantongo Street. The witness provided a description of the driver and officers began searching for the area for a female driver.
While canvassing the area, Patrolman Cody Fanelli reported that he located the female matching the description given by the witness at the intersection of 7th and Mahantongo Streets.

The woman, identified as Paige Zerbey, 23, of Saint Clair, was interviewed and exhibited signs of intoxication.
After failing field sobriety tests, Zerbey was transported to Lehigh Valley Schuylkill East for chemical testing. At the hospital Zerbey refused the test and was released into the custody of a family member.
Charges will be filed by Pottsville Police at the conclusion of the investigation.
