The Cressona Band, celebrating 122 seasons of musical excellence, will be performing a variety of concerts this year.
Our season kicks off on May 29th at the Tamaqua Train Station, and continues through August at West Penn Park. The band performs a variety of showtunes, marches, patriotic, and other songs from the Great American Songbook of Concert Band Repertoire.
The Cressona Band is under the direction of Mr. Craig N. Shoener, retired Director of Bands from Pottsville Area High School. The Associate Conductor is Mr. John P. Shoener, Director of Bands from the Shenandoah Valley School District.
Anyone interested in joining the band should contact John P. Shoener at jshoener13@gmail.com. The band rehearses each Monday night from 7-8:30 PM at the John F. Potlunas Cressona Band Hall at 12 Wilson Street in Cressona. Please like our Facebook page under Cressona Band.
