One Flown After Crash near Columbia/Schuylkill County Line, Dog Reported Missing


One person was flown after a crash in Columbia County Wednesday morning.

The one-vehicle crash occurred around 10:30am in the area of 1160 Aristes-Ringtown Road just west of the Columbia/ Schuylkill County line.  Three people and two dogs were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

One of the victims was transported to a landing zone in Aristes and flown to an area hospital.  Another occupant sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.  The third occupant refused EMS.

One of the dogs was treated by the Ringtown Veterinarian Hospital who sent two personnel to the scene.   The other dog ran away after the crash.

The Pennsylvania State Police were at the scene and were investigating.  No other details were released as of Wednesday evening.

First responders from Aristes, Ringtown, and Shenandoah responded to the scene and also assisted with traffic control.
