With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the unexpected passing of Cheryl A. Schaeffer-Heffner, age 68. Cheryl’s unwavering devotion to her family, her quiet strength, and her selfless heart defined a life of love, sacrifice, and grace.

She was born in Pottsville on September 12, 1956. Cheryl was the daughter of the late James and Catherine Schaeffer.

After a dedicated career, Cheryl embraced her final role as caregiver. She lovingly cared for her sister Sheree and then father James, who passed away just five days before Cheryl.

Cheryl’s final resting place is among those she held closest to her heart. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Catherine and James, her sister Sheree, and the God she served quietly but faithfully. She was remembered in a shared memorial with her father, surrounded by family and friends who knew the depths of her kindness and the strength of her spirit.

Her presence was a source of steady light to those fortunate enough to know her. While our hearts ache in her absence, we are comforted knowing she is at peace. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered. Cheryl was preceded in death by her sister Sheree Minnich and parents Catherine and James Schaeffer.
