Barbara E. Schwartz
, 81, of Locust St., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at home.

Born on March 3, 1944 in Pine Grove, PA, she was a daughter of the late Mark Lehman and Ruth Tobias Lehman Cappel.

She was a member of Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.

Barbara had a number of jobs throughout her life. What will be remembered about her, though, is her love for Jacob's, animals, baking, slots, but mostly, her family and friends. Barbara loved nothing more than a trip to the casino, curling up on her recliner with a kitty in her lap, breakfast at Buddy's with the girls or doing whatever, whenever for her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Larry Schwartz; and a sister, Nancy Hopple.

Surviving are two sons, Chris Schwartz of Belleville, IL, Jeff Schwartz of Pine Grove; a grandson, Chad Schwartz, who was her pride and joy; and two nephews, Craig Hopple and David Lehman.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date as well as Interment in Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Jacob's Lutheran Church, 316 Suedberg Rd., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in her memory.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.
