Cecilia Ulicny, a junior at Tamaqua Area High School, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Dr. John & Nell Forrest Vocal Scholarship, an honor that highlights her exceptional vocal talent and dedication to music.
John Buglio, choral director at Tamaqua Area High School, proudly announced Ulicny’s selection earlier this week, noting her commitment to the school’s vocal program and her strong artistic potential.
The scholarship provides Ulicny with an all-expense-paid opportunity to attend the Westminster Choir College Summer Vocal Institute at Rider University in New Jersey. The one-week program brings together aspiring vocalists from across the globe for an intensive experience in choral music and vocal training, offering participants the chance to work with top-tier faculty and immerse themselves in a college-level music environment.
Ulicny is the daughter of Steve and Johanna Ulicny of Tamaqua.
