Allentown Man Arrested in Frackville for Domestic Assault

An Allentown man is facing charges following a domestic assault incident in Frackville earlier this week.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at approximately 10:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on North Lehigh Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported that her boyfriend, Robert Simmons, 41, of Allentown, had physically assaulted her during an argument.

The victim sustained visible abrasions to her arms, shoulders, neck, and back as a result of the alleged assault. Simmons had fled the apartment before police arrived, but officers suspected he was still in the area. A short time later, he returned to the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

Patrolman Dan Bound filed a criminal complaint charging Simmons with Simple Assault under domestic violence statutes. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Plachko, who set bail at $25,000. Simmons was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of bail.

The Shenandoah Police Department and West Mahanoy Township Police assisted with the incident.
