Schuylkill County Fair Royalty Program Seeks Contestants for 2025

The Schuylkill County Fair Royalty Program is now accepting contestants for its 2025 competition, offering local girls a chance to enjoy a week of fun, learning, and community involvement at the annual fair.
Open to girls ages 7 to 20 across Schuylkill County, the program encourages participants to embrace public speaking, build friendships, and represent the fair at community events throughout the coming year. No prior pageant or agricultural experience is necessary—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn about the fair and agriculture.

Participants are divided into three age groups:
  • Little Miss (ages 7–10)
  • Princess (ages 11–15)
  • Queen (ages 16–20)
A winner and runner-up will be selected in each category, along with special awards for Miss Congeniality and People’s Choice.

A Three-Day Journey to the Crown

The competition unfolds over three days in July, offering a blend of preparation, judged events, and celebration:

Sunday, July 20 – Royalty Bash
Contestants will gather at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds to meet the current 2024 Royalty, enjoy games, agricultural activities, and rehearse for coronation day. This non-judged event allows the girls to bond and get comfortable with the program. Parents are invited to attend an informational session with program coordinators.

Sunday, July 27 – Judges' Reception and Meet the Contestants
At Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville, contestants will participate in private interviews with the judging panel. Later that evening, the public "Meet the Contestants" event will give participants a chance to showcase an outfit or uniform that reflects their personality or interests, sharing its significance with the audience and judges during an on-stage interview. Contestants will also vote for Miss Congeniality.

Monday, July 28 – Coronation Day
Final judging takes place on the M&T Stage at the Fairgrounds, where contestants will introduce themselves, deliver prepared speeches related to the fair, and answer an impromptu question. After a short parade through the fairgrounds led by the outgoing Royalty, the 2025 Fair Royalty winners will be crowned.

Judging criteria include poise, presentation, speaking ability, personal interviews, on-stage interviews, prepared speeches, and responses to impromptu questions.

Winners will serve as ambassadors for the Schuylkill County Fair throughout the year, appearing at parades, festivals, and community events.
