Rev. Francis T. Gera
, 86 of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Frackville, PA., passed away on June 11, 2025 at William Childs Hospice House of Palm Pay, FL. Father Gera was born in Raven Run, PA., and the son of the late George and Theresa (Sylvasi) Gera. Father Gera was a graduate of Frackville High School and had attended seminary of SS Cyril & Methodius in Pittsburgh, PA, and received a Bachelor of Arts from Duquesne University. Ordained June 7, 1964, he served as assistant to St. Michael's Cathedral, Passaic, NJ., Holy Spirit Binghamton, NY and Pastor of St. Michael's Allentown, PA, Holy Ghost, Philadelphia, PA, and St. Mary's Hazelton, PA, Holy Dormition, Ormond Beach, FL. Upon retiring assisting Patronage B.C. Church, Arbutus, MD. He is predeceased by his siblings, George, Paul, Joseph, and Nicholas Gera, Mary Kowatch, Mary Hollick, Elizabeth "Betty" Prock, John, Andrew and Michael Gera. He is survived by many Nieces and Nephews, Great Nephews and Nieces.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM followed by Parastas at 7:00 PM at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 131 S Morris St., St. Clair, PA. Additional viewing will be be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 8:30 to 9:00 AM followed by Parastas at 9:00 AM with Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM at church.

Interment will be at St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church Cemetery, Shenandoah, PA. In lieu of flowers memorials you may offer a Divine Liturgy or Donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org

Theresa (Zeminski) Tunilla
, 97, of Shenandoah passed away on Monday evening, June 9, 2025 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Shenandoah on March 31, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Greshock) Zeminski.

She was a 1946 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Tung-Sol, Harris Bakery, and Tobias Ladies’ Apparel all formerly of Shenandoah.

Theresa was a member of Divine Mercy Parish formerly of St. Casimir Parish, the Father Walter J. Ciszek Prayer League and the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens all of Shenandoah.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Leonard J. Tunilla on February 13, 2004; three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Leonard Zeminski; four sisters, Helen Chernetsky, Rose Milewski, Eleanor Tubbs and Florence McCloskey; and her son-in-law, Joseph Colosimo. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are three daughters, Janet Schuster and her husband Joseph of Santa Barbara, CA; Diane Colosimo of Shenandoah and Mary Kay Macker and her husband Robert of Frackville; six grandchildren, Derek and Drew Schuster, Joe Colosimo, Megan Burke, and Adam and Eric Macker; eight great-grandchildren with her ninth great-grandchild to arrive soon; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 10:30 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry St., Shenandoah. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in Divine Mercy Church. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor and Christopher L. Kowalski, Funeral Director are in care of the arrangements.
