The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a theft incident that occurred on a mine property along Park Place Road in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.
According to a public information release, between May 23, 2025, at 1:40 PM and May 27, 2025, at 6:45 AM, an unknown individual or individuals trespassed onto the property owned by Ash Resources Inc., based in Schuylkill Haven. The suspect(s) reportedly stole six fuel filters, valued at approximately $55 each.
In addition to the theft, the suspect(s) allegedly operated heavy machinery on the premises without permission. A black and yellow Caterpillar tractor was identified as being involved in the unauthorized use of equipment.
