Joe Snedeker and Go Joe 28 to Roll Through Schuylkill County on July 25


Popular WNEP Meteorologist to Continue Annual Ride for St. Joseph’s Center with stops in Schuylkill County.

Joe Snedeker, WNEP meteorologist and local icon, is gearing up for his 28th annual Go Joe fundraising bike ride, benefiting the St. Joseph’s Center in Scranton. The 2025 edition of the charity trek will officially kick off on Monday, July 21st, at Marywood University.

Snedeker's cross-region journey will take him through parts of Central Pennsylvania before entering Schuylkill County on Friday, July 25, where supporters can cheer him on as he pedals through a series of local towns and landmarks.

The day will begin in western Schuylkill County following stops in neighboring Luzerne and Carbon Counties. After appearing on Newswatch 16 This Morning in Conyngham, Luzerne County, Joe will ride through:

  • Hazleton
  • Beaver Meadows
  • Weatherly
  • Treskow

He’ll reach Schuylkill County by midday for a Newswatch 16 at Noon broadcast live from Veterans Memorial Park in McAdoo.

From there, his route continues through:

  • Tamaqua
  • Newkirk
  • Tuscarora Fire Department
  • Mary D
  • Brockton
  • Middleport
  • New Philadelphia
  • Port Carbon
  • Pottsville
  • Marlin
  • Minersville
  • St. Clair

His day in the Skook will wrap up with a live Newswatch 16 Evening broadcast between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Frackville Memorial Park.

For nearly three decades, Snedeker’s Go Joe ride has captured the hearts of Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania residents. The ride raises money for the St. Joseph’s Center, a non-profit that provides critical care and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
