Pottsville Police Arrest Man Accused of Years-Long Sexual Abuse of Minor

A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for inappropriate sexual contact with a minor.

According to Pottsville Police, on Wednesday July 16th, 2025, The Pottsville Bureau of Police took Raymond Edward Hall, 56, of Pottsville into custody after obtaining a criminal arrest warrant that had been signed by Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli earlier in the day. 

Hall was charged with 4 counts of Involuntarily Deviate Sexual Intercourse, (4) counts of Indecent Assault, Incest, Indecent Exposure, Endangering the welfare of children, and Corruption of Minors as a result of a two-day investigation led by members of the Pottsville Bureau of Police with assistance from the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s office namely, ADA Jennifer Foose. 

During this investigation, the Pottsville Police were spoke to an adolescent victim who came forward with information that Hall had been having inappropriate sexual contact with the minor over a several year period of time. Hall was contacted and interviewed by the Pottsville Bureau of Police who subsequently confessed to the allegation and provided even more incriminating information concerning the sexual contact he had been having with the minor adolescent over an extended period of time. 

Hall admitted to sexually assaulting the minor adolescent at both his residence located in Pottsville as well as his auto body shop which is located in the Borough of Palo Alto throughout this period of time. 

Hall was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker who remanded Hall to Schuylkill County Prison after he was unable to post $250,000 straight cash bail.
