Clair C. Wolfgang Jr., age 89, of Ashland, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - E Norwegian, Pottsville.He was born on Thursday, July 9, 1936, in Ashland, a son of the late Clair C Wolfgang, Sr and the late Geraldine (Shurman) Wolfgang.
Clair was a 1954 graduate of the former Butler Twp High School.
He retired as a master sergeant from the US Air Force.
Clair enjoyed tinkering with cars, carpentry, bee keeping, and spending time with his family.
His wife, Shirley A Wolfgang, passed away on June 19, 2025. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Dean E Wolfgang and David C Wolfgang, a grandson, Barret Wolfgang, and two sisters, Nancy Bailey and Lucille Carpenter.
He is survived by a son, Steven D Wolfgang of Bellefonte; two daughters, Susan D (Kent) Deeter of Hegins and Dionne M Wolfgang of Lavelle; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Ginny) Wolfgang of Dover, DE; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, Pennsylvania Division, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.

Jean I. Wittrock, age 99, formerly of Pitman, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Heritage Mills Personal Care Center, Tower City.
Funeral arrangements are pending.

Melinda K Lesher, age 57, of Pitman, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at her residence.
She was born on Saturday, February 24, 1968, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Dale D Bixler and the late Karen C (Miller) Bixler.
Prior to becoming ill she worked at Michael Foods, Klingerstown.
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
Melinda enjoyed reading, playing board games and cards, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her fiancée, David J "Punch" Hoffman of Pitman; a son, Michael D Lesher of Pitman; a daughter, Heidi Lesher of Gratz; eight grandchildren; brother, Matthew (Brandy) Bixler of Pine Grove; four sisters, Melissa Bixler of Hegins, Lisa (Scott) Wedde of Valley View, Jennifer (Scott) Deitch of Herndon, and Jill Bixler of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
