John G. Gall, born on May 27, 1947 in St. Clair, passed away on June 28, peacefully at home.

John was a very proud Vietnam Veteran of the US Army. He was a bronze star recipient Infantryman who fought in Operation Lam Son 719, one of the wars final battles in the Laos Campaign.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Santa, who passed away in September 2022. They were married 46 years. His parents George and Dorothy (Koons) Gall, his nephew, Robert Beasely Yarnell, his son-in-law, Michael A. Ciccanti III and most recently his most beloved dog, Saige.

John left a legacy of love. He is survived and adored by his three daughters Laura McHugh (Dan), Lisa Grove (Lawrence) and Leslie Ciccanti. He lived every day for his seven grandchildren, Stephen and Ashley Grove, Brennan McHugh, Kaitlyn (McHugh) Drescher(Sam), Amanda Cannon, Rayven Ciccanti, Michael Ciccanti IV. He has four great-grandchildren Isabella Seasock, Adelyn James, Elizabeth and Nora Drescher.

He is also survived by a sister, Anne (Gall) Yarnell (Tom), Brother, Joseph and nephews Thomas Yarnell and Christopher Gall.

The family wishes to thank the Lebanon VA Medical Center for their care over the years, Geisinger St. Lukes in Orwigsburg and Compassus Hospice Care.

Funeral Services for John will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday July 7 from the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street, St. Clair, PA 17970. Friends may call from 10:00AM till time of service.

Interment will immediately follow with full military honors at the Schuylkill Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Richard H. Mark, Jr.
, of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania and previously of New Providence & Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born on October 2, 1951, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Richard H and Cherie D (Townsend) Mark. Richard was a proud native of the state he called home throughout his life. He graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in 1969 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University-an achievement that marked the beginning of a distinguished professional journey.

Richard dedicated his career to the field of technology and engineering, first in working for Westinghouse Electric and traveling all over the world, then culminating in his role as Vice President of Software for Volian Enterprises in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. His leadership and expertise were instrumental to the company’s success until his retirement in 2023.

A man of deep faith and compassion, Richard was a devoted member of Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. His commitment to his beliefs was evident in both his personal and professional life. He served as an elder on the Session at Faith and committee work at Susquehanna Valley Presbytery. He enjoyed supporting Vacation Bible School and was a member on the audio/visual/computer tech crew at the church. He was always available to help others with their computers. Above all he was a friend to many.

Richard is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 50 years, Janet (Wright) Mark; his son, Richard (Rachel) Mark III; and his daughters, Rachel (Joseph) Brown and Lydia (Richard) Butler. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Shawn, Jack, Charles, Miley, and Sophia. He is survived by his sister Melissa Kinsey and brother Andrew (Theresa) Mark.

He was preceded in death by his sister Susan Weitzel and nephew Joshua Mark.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s name to support Parkinsons research-a cause close to the hearts of those who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who were touched by his life. A Memorial Service will be held on July 19, 2025, starting at 12:00 pm at Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA 17566, With Visitation starting at 11 am.

Theresa Dvorsky
, of State College, PA, went to be with Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 30, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

Born in 1945 and raised in Coaldale, Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Robert, with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage. Her memory will also be cherished by her daughters, Christine Lukowitsch (Martin) of Charlotte, NC, and Kathy of Emmaus, PA; son Joseph (Katherine Frank) of Menomonie, WI; and sister, Mary Boyer (Steve) of Lake Wynonah, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Mary (Romanek) Kachurak, and her sister Shirley Kachurak White.

A graduate of Coaldale High School and Sacred Heart School of Nursing, Theresa dedicated her early career to nursing. Eventually she and her husband founded Valley Athletic Supply in Lansford, purchased the Panther Valley Mini Mall, and successfully ran both businesses for many years.

After retiring to State College, Theresa enjoyed cheering for Penn State athletic teams and became a very active member of Oakwood Presbyterian Church, serving as a mentor, greeter, and committee member and sharing her passion for reading and studying the Bible. She also volunteered as a client advocate at State College Pregnancy Resource Clinic.

A Celebration of Theresa's Life will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Oakwood Presbyterian Church 1865 Waddle Road State College Pennsylvania 16803 Rev. Daniel Kiehl to officiate. Friends may call in church on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.

Private interment Sky View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
